Azerbaijan Archeology Journal
Azerbaijan Archaeology journal has been operating within the Department of History and Archaeology since 1999. Published twice a year, the journal has been playing an important role in the research of Azerbaijan's underground historical assets for many years. In addition to the works of distinguished researchers trained in the field of archaeology in Azerbaijan, the journal also publishes articles on various archaeological topics by researchers from different countries.
The journal, which focuses specifically on Azerbaijani archaeology, has maintained its unique position in Azerbaijan for many years. The founder of the journal is Prof. Hamlet Isakhan, the founder of Caspian University. The editor-in-chief of the journal is Prof. Gudrat Ismayilov. The Deputy Editors are Assoc. Prof. Roza Arazova, Assoc. Tarik Dostiyev and Assoc. Bahlul Ibrahimli. The editorial board of the journal includes experts from different countries such as Russia, Georgia, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Germany, France and Japan. In addition to Azerbaijani, the journal also publishes articles in Turkish, Russian and English.
In addition to theoretical and research-oriented articles, Azerbaijan Archaeology also features articles on the life and work of prominent archaeologists and major archaeological discoveries.
