Research and Publications

The Department of Life Sciences encompasses a broad spectrum of bioscience fields, including knowledge of living organisms, their environment, and evolution. Our mission is transforming biology education through research, innovation, and science.

Life Sciences Department has expertise in Biochemistry, Immunology, Ecology, Molecular Biology, and Genetics.

The research interests of our faculty members span all levels of biological organization, including the following categories:

Genetic Diversity, Conservation, and Utilization of Plant Genetic Resources

  • Genome-wide association Study (GWAS) for Trait Analysis in Crops
  • Genomics and Transcriptomics for Understanding Adaptation in Wild Plant Species
  • Reactive Oxidant Production and Inflammatory Tissue Damage
  • Investigation of biomarkers associated with emotional changes in human

The Department offers graduate programs leading to a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in different areas of Biological Sciences, including Molecular Biology, Microbiology, Genetics, Biochemistry, and Immunology.

Also, we engaged in a wide range of research activities, such as mentoring students, who are seriously committed to doing research, and helping them in scientific writing; inviting researchers to give seminars; organizing scientific meetings, and participating in research seminars to share knowledge and discuss research results.
