Chemical engineering

Chemical Engineering comprehensive four-year curriculum is meticulously crafted to provide students with a solid foundation in science, engineering principles, and the specialized skills needed for a successful career in the dynamic field of chemical engineering.

In the first year, students embark on a journey that establishes a strong foundation in language, culture, and the basic sciences. From Azerbaijan Language and Culture to English Foundations, Physics, Mathematics, and General Chemistry, students acquire the essential knowledge and skills necessary for their future studies in chemical engineering. The second year marks the transition to core chemical engineering courses. Analytical Chemistry, Material Science, Applied Differential Equations, and Computer Application in Engineering pave the way for a deeper understanding of the principles that govern chemical processes. Introduction to Chemical Engineering and Material and Energy Balance courses provide insights into the fundamental concepts of the field.

As students progress into their third year, they delve into specialized areas such as Engineering Thermodynamics, Heat and Mass Transfer, Fluid Mechanics, and Separation Processes. These courses are complemented by major electives, allowing students to tailor their education to match their interests. The inclusion of a summer practice ensures practical exposure and a connection to the real-world applications of chemical engineering. The final year is a culmination of theoretical knowledge and hands-on experience. Students engage in Chemical Process Design, Process Dynamics and Control, Computational Fluid Dynamics, and Chemical Process Design and Optimization.
